Located on the North coast of Cornwall, Porthtowan is one of Cornwalls most popular surfing beaches. It provides good swell and the waves can be fast and punchy on a good day.

2. Fistral Beach

Despite being one of Cornwalls busiest beaches during the summer, this beach located in Newquay serves some fun, clean waves that can reach a good 8ft when there is decent swell. Fistral beach is one of the UK's most known surf spots.

3.Polzeath Beach

Despite producing smaller, less powerful waves, Polzeath is great all around for food, surf schools and there is many places to rent a board for a day. Although usually quite busy, Polzeaths waves are very good for beginners and anyone up for some fun nuggets.

4. Sennen Beach

One of the consequences of being the most westerly beach in Cornwall is how exposed Sennen is. The conditions and wave size can be very different at both ends of the beach sometimes. Never the less, Sennen usually creates some standard waves which can be fun for all level surfers.

5. Praa Sands Beach

Although being located on the south coast, Praa sands creates some heavy, hollow waves. It's also a big beach, meaning you can avoid those summer crowds!
